Second Baptist Baytown

Blown away.... would be an understatement! This past Sunday at Second was another reminder to me of why I love this place.

I mean besides the fact that this is the most loving and caring church in the area... and besides the fact that our worship services are awesome and awe-inspiring...and besides the fact that we have some of the strongest ministries from bed babies all the way up to senior adults...well...Second Family, you constantly amaze me!

At this moment that I am writing this blog, we have had 170 families commit to $30 a month to feed the community of Canez, Haiti for one year. Praise the Lord! We only need 30 more families and we will reach the goal of 200 families giving $30 a month.

Then on Monday morning someone walked in with the total amount, $7,500, to build the bathrooms at the Rosalinda Orphanage. What an amazing God we serve!

And it doesn’t end there. Someone came up to me after the first service and said they would pay for half the rebuilding of the church if we could raise the other half. I was floored!

We can do this! Please pray that God will continue to pour out His blessing so that we can provide a new, clean, and safe place to worship.

Like I said... blown away... doesn’t come close! Thank you! Thank you for being the church that you are! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this place! Did I say it yet? Yes I did, but I’ll say it again.... I love this place!
