Praising God
In my Bible reading last week, I came across Psalm 147. I was reminded of why we, as humans, were created.
vs. 1 Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him! 3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. 4 He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. 5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. 8 He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills. 10 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man; 11 the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. (Yes, I did skip many of the verses, but these verses stood out to me.) In verse 11, the last part says the Lord delights in his children who put their hope in his unfailing love. What are you hoping for or in? In Cubbies on Sunday nights, I am teaching the story of creation. I am reminded that God created this universe, earth, water, animals all for us. And He created us for His glory. He wanted to have someone to have a relationship with and to love. The Lord delights.... in us! Are we putting our hope in his unfailing love? Are we allowing Him the opportunity to bless us? I challenge you to give over the things in your life that worry you the most and trust in His love. It is enough!
