Getting your kids connected!
It's time for sign-ups and all over Baytown, Crosby, Mont Belvieu, and Highlands, families are signing up for fall events - soccer, football, choir, cheerleading, gymnastics, music lessons, etc. At 2nd Baytown Kidventure, we also have an opportunity for your kid(s) to get connected spiritually. Come check out our weekly ministries that your child can be involved in that will make an eternal impact in their lives.
Wednesday nights is W.O.W. - Worship on Wednesdays for kids. This is a ministry where kids get to explore the worship arts. We have 3 rotations throughout the night that your child will visit. The hallelujah room is singing and learning songs to share in the adult worship time. Sound bytes varies from exploring musical instruments to painting to learning about the hymns of old or musical dance. Our discovery room is learning music in a fun way through games and rhythm. Whether your child likes to sing or not, your child will enjoy learn inghow to worship God through various avenues. Each week is something new so come worship with us at W.O.W.
Registration starts Wednesday, Aug. 24 6:30 - 7:30 pm.
Sunday nights is Kid's Club / AWANA for 3 year olds (potty trained) - 5th grade. It is a high-energy, fast paced 2 hours of game time and Bible memorization with a lesson. We offer the Cubbie and Sparks program through 2nd grade using the AWANA material. 3rd - 5th graders dive a little deeper using Nehemiah Kids material. Our focus is learning God's word by memorizing a scripture a week and the kids earn rewards along the way. Each week is a different theme for kids to dress up or participate in (this is optional). This is a great opportunity for your child to grow a little deeper in their understanding and knowledge of God's word and learn to have a devotional time throughout the week.
We encourage families to use the devotionals given out on Sunday mornings, Kid's Club books on Sunday evenings, and W.O.W. take home sheets on Wednesday evenings to have a family devotional time throughout their week. Kids need to have the word of God in them as well. It's not too early to have them reading and learning God's word so when they become teenagers and adults the habit is already established. (If you need help finding these devotionals, please ask the kidventure welcome desk.)
Registration - Sunday, Aug. 28 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Orientations for new parents at 5:45 pm & 6:30 pm.
