Kid'z Konnection
Promotion Sunday - August 24

Weekend Bible Study & Church
Sundays 9:00 a.m.  Children’s Bible Study is offered for students from grades 1-5. Students participate in a Bible lesson, craft, music and light recreation during Bible Study times.  Kids Stuff 10:45 a.m. in the gymnasium.  In Kid's Stuff, students sing praise songs, hear a Bible lesson, view skits and play interactive games. Second Baptist Church is committed to honor the greatest in God’s kingdom, his children! The children’s ministry team consists of all the AMAZING leaders who serve and minister to the children of Second Baptist. We have several opportunities to serve in the children’s ministry that must be filled by Promotion Sunday, August 26! Check out the ways you can be involved below….

This ministry, which takes place on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30 p.m., involves choirs for students in grades 1-5. Helpers are needed for the program. Students perform for the church body about 4 times per year. 

Upward Begins October '08

Upward Basketball
Upward Basketball is a winter recreation and outreach program for kids in 1st-6th grades. Games start in January of each year and end in March. All games are played on Saturday. The program focuses on teaching kids to become Christ-like in all of their actions through the sport of basketball. Coaches and helpers are needed in all areas of this ministry. Devotionals take place at half time of every game, and refreshments are sold. The most exciting point at Upward is that lives are changed in the process.

3yr. old - 5th Grade

AWANA
Sundays 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. This is a Bible-centered club for children ages 3 (by September 5) through 5th grade. It teaches children to hide God's word in their hearts through a variety of activities which promote Scripture memory. AWANA registration begins in August. Preteen Camp at Lake Tomahawk
July 28 – August 1, 2008

This camp is offered for completed 3rd – 5th graders. Cost is $170.00 per camper. This fee includes all registration fees, housing, food, and a t-shirt. Registration opens May 1, 2008. Please print the student or adult registration form (2 pages each) from the above link.  Click on this link to print general camp information.  A non refundable deposit of $35.00 must be turned in with a completed form. These deposits will be accepted as space allows and on a first come, first serve basis. Mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday, July 23 @ 7:30 in the sanctuary.
