Nursery Guidelines

MEDICAL INFORMATION

Our teachers are not permitted to administer oral medication of any kind. A Mother's Room is available for our nursing mothers in the nursery office area.

For the protection of your child and other children, please do not leave a child who has had any of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours:

* Fever

* Vomiting, Diarrhea

* Any symptom of the usual childhood diseases-Scarlet Fever, Mumps, Chicken Pox, German Measles

* Runny nose, cough, or croup

* Sore throat

* Any unexplained rash or skin infection

* Boils, ringworm, impetigo

* Pinkeye and other eye infections

SECURITY

Because security is one of our top priorities, parents are required to follow these guidelines:

* When you bring your child to class, please sign your child in on the sheet provided. Please list the number of the tag, the pager number, and any special instructions about your child.

* The security tag (detached label) must be presented when picking up a child. If the tag is misplaced, the parent must present a security tag or have the director present before the teacher can release the child. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! Siblings 18 years and older will be permitted to pick up a child with the security tag.

* For the protection of your child, it is our policy to carefully screen our volunteers. We conduct a background check and personal interview with every prospective teacher prior to their service in the preschool ministry department.
