From Our Commander
Awana stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," II Timothy 2:15. It is a discipleship, Bible memory, and game program that reaches the whole child. We feel this is an excellent program to train our kids in Bible memorization and Bible based achievement, and help our children reach out to others who need to know about Jesus. Awana under girds the ministry of our Sunday School, Children’s Church, Children’s Choirs, Mission Programs and the mission of our church.
The clubbers receive recognition for saying verses, completing books, etc. with patches and awards. The clubbers move at their own pace and there is a strong emphasis on parents helping the clubbers study their handbook.
To enroll your children in Awana or to learn more about how to become a leader in Awana, contact Ruth Charlson at 281-427-6506 or rcharlson@secondbaytown.org.
